Samanvita Kasthuri is an emerging choreographer that mainly experiments with the fusion of Indian classical dancing, specifically Kathak and Bharatanatyam, with Western dance styles such as Contemporary and Hip-Hop. Samanvita has created numerous works for places such as the Festival of Nations, Battery Park Festival, WaxWorks Showcase, The Fabulous Fox Theater, and Sheldon Concert Hall. Her goal as a performer at Pack Dance is to expand her movement vocabulary and continue to explore how she can use her training in Bharatanatyam in conjunction with Contemporary, creating new genres of dance without compromising her tradition and culture.
